Onze roots gaan terug naar een tijd waarin ambacht en kwaliteit vanzelfsprekend waren. Dat zijn precies de waarden die wij vandaag de dag nog steeds met trots uitdragen.

Ons verhaal begint bij mijn opa, die 25 jaar werkte bij een meubelfabriek. Daar groeide zijn liefde voor het stoffeerdersvak en legde hij de basis voor wat later zou uitgroeien tot een echt familiebedrijf. In 1960 besloot hij zijn eigen weg te gaan en startte hij zijn eigen meubelstoffeerderij.

Wat begon als een kleinschalige onderneming, is inmiddels uitgegroeid tot een bloeiend familiebedrijf met toegewijde vakmensen — waarvan velen familie zijn. Generatie na generatie geven we meubels een tweede leven, met oog voor detail, een sterke afwerking en het zitcomfort dat weer klopt.

Vandaag zet ik, Rosa Hendriks, als eigenaresse samen met mijn collega’s Frederik Visser en Jozeph Meijer dit ambacht met passie voort. Naast Meijer & Visser Meubelstoffeerderij ben ik ook de trotse eigenaar van De Stoffeerdersunie. Daarmee zetten we ons in voor het behoud én de toekomst van het stoffeerdersvak in Nederland — zodat vakmanschap ook voor volgende generaties blijft bestaan.
